Common Cause, Common Sense—Framed in economic justice, Common Cause, Common Sense examines current and proposed public policy in essential humanitarian areas and veteran services. It provides a policy tool for everyday citizens to engage in informed, civil engagement with elected officials, creating transparency and accountability in government.
SOAP- In keeping with our commitment to creating safe and affirming spaces of belonging, SOAP is a monthly acknowledgment and celebration of the contributions of everyday people- locally, nationally, and internationally. With annual themes that honor the life and legacies of global he and she‘roes, Islay Walden Education Alliance hosts virtual and live SOAP celebrations of ordinary people who made an extraordinary impact.
HEIR Project- Promoting interfaith and intercultural exchange, HEIR Project provides 5 to 10 days of intercultural and interfaith engagement among clergy, high school and college students, and leaders from different faith traditions. The HEIR Project is designed to promote understanding, respect, and unity across faith traditions. HEIR does not attempt to convert or proselytize; rather, it promotes interfaith engagement, cultural understanding, and textual reasoning. In addition to fostering intercultural and interfaith exchange, the HEIR Project raises awareness of global humanitarian issues, offering affirming and diverse, faith-informed atavistic resolve.
