Our Annual
Ethics and Equity Conference
The Islay Walden Education Alliance Ethics and Equity Conference honors the legacy and fulfills the dream of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Held each year on President’s Day, the Ethics and Equity Conference brings together clergy, industry leaders, elected officials, and community organizers to critically engage public policy in the areas of economics, education, healthcare, housing, hunger, immigration, nutrition, and veteran services.
In addition, through an interfaith council, the Ethics and Equity Conference examines ways in which faith informs public policy and organizational decisions.
Ethics and Equity Pledge
I/We pledge, in principle and practice, to advocate for and advance the development and implementation of ethical public policy and equitable resource distribution to ensure the highest standards of human affirmation for New Jersey citizens, present and future.
There are three Ethics and Equity Sustaining Initiatives designed to foster affirming spaces of belonging and engagement. Each can be scaled and adjusted for local, organizational, and multi-state implementation.
